Streetwise is delighted to announce its headline sponsorship of the 11th Annual Transport Practitioners Meeting. The conference is aimed at transport planners, engineers, urban transport designers, managers and anyone involved in strategy development and delivery of transport services from the public and private sectors. It is designed to provide a platform for discussing policy issues, research findings and sharing best practice within the transport sector. Streetwise will be exhibiting throughout the conference, and there will be a chance to meet our team and keep up to date with latest developments in transportation data collection.

Streetwise exhibiting at Modelling World April 2013

As previously, we’ll be exhibiting at Modelling World and will be demonstrating our capability in all aspects of transportation data collection. We’ve recently be contributing to the Data and Modelling World supplement to the LTT with an article on Electronic Data Capture in traffic survey data collection (click here for full article), so this will be a particular theme for our demos. This follows on from previous contributions over the past couple of years on Bluetooth Traffic Monitoring (2012) and Parking Surveys using a GIS Approach (2011).

Streetwise to present Data Collection /
Traffic Modelling training course April 2013

Streetwise has agreed to assist in providing a speaker for the SCOTS Annual Training Module for Graduates and Technicians. This annual event, organised by the Society of Chief Officers of Transportation in Scotland is attended by around 100 delegates and will be held on 05 September 2013. We are delighted to be able to further our contribution to knowledge sharing in the industry at this important course.

We will be showcasing our innovative methods for example using Bluetooth to monitor vehicle and pedestrian O-D movements, electronic data capture and GIS based applications to enhance quality of data collection and clarity of presentation.

Streetwise to assist in Aberdeenshire asset data capture October 2012

Streetwise has been appointed by Aberdeenshire to undertake a comprehensive review of all drainage gullies within 4 of their 6 sub-regions, with the remaining 2 pending for financial year 2013-14. The information will be collected by a combination of walked beats and GPS linked video data capture across several months with data to be delivered in ArcGIS format to Aberdeenshire Council. In total, over 3,600km of network will be covered.

Streetwise presents Surveys training course September 2012

We are proud to once again be supporting PTRC in presenting the Surveys lecture as part of the 20 week series on Principles of Traffic and Transportation. We will be presenting in London on 05 November 2012 at the Atkins office at Euston Tower, London. This follows on from previous contributions to the London, Glasgow, and Manchester training courses in 2010-2011.

Streetwise appointed to LATIS data collection commission May 2012

We are delighted to announce our appointment to Commission for the Collection and Collation of Transport and Land Use Data, awarded by Transport Scotland to provide transport data to support their Land Use and Transport Integration in Scotland Model. The commission runs for 4 years from April 2012 and covers a full range of transport data collection services as well as the facility to provide advice on data collection methods and applications.
